This book seeks to bring together the two disciplines of informal and outdoor education, and challenges readers to think differently about outdoor and adventure education. • Tony Jeffs still teaches in the Department of Applied Social Sciences, Durham University (UK) from which he recently retired. He was the founding editor of the journal Youth and Policy remains a member of the Editorial Board of that publication.
